Email Settings for Ameravant Customers:
|
Browser-based Email Login: If
you are not able to configure your Email program, you can always
access your Email from any Browser by going to http://email.ameravant.com
Incoming Email: Using an Email program like Outlook, Netscape, Safari, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc, you should be able to check your incoming Email from any location, using the settings below.
Outgoing Email: Your ability to send outgoing Email depends on the company providing your connection to the Internet (Cox, Verizon, etc.). Because of anti-spam protection rules, many Internet providers require you use their outgoing SMTP Email server, therefore, using mail.yourdomain.com will not work when connected to their Internet service. Below are several of the most common Outgoing Email settings for SMTP. Verizon not only requires you use their SMTP Email server to send your Email, they also require you use a valid Email and passwords, from any Verizon account. You can call Verizon and ask them for your master Email account and password. See image #4 below to see where to enter your Verizon Email and password. In a pinch, you can use ANY Verizon Email and password, to authenticate you as a Verizon customer.
Even though your hosting service with Ameravant allows you to use our SMTP server, to send your outgoing Email, (mail.yourdomain.com), this does not mean that using mail.yourdomian.com will always work. In general, you should look to Ameravant for support with incoming Email issues and call your Internet Provider for support using their outgoing SMTP server. Ameravant has no control over the applications you use to send Email or with your Internet provider, who may be forcing you to use their SMTP server.
